This post is for all the up and coming producers out there. DON’T GIVE UP!!! Always be on your grind; even when you don’t feel up to it. At Dre and Josh Music Group LLC., we constantly experience the uninvited rollercoster effect that this industry so often brings however, we adapt, regroup, and follow the gameplan. Dre and Josh AND Sebastian Mego ? UH OH!!! Houston we've got a PROBLEM. Dre and Josh have been working on some hits with Sebastian Mego of Sirri Records [Chauncy Jackson] for Sebastian's debut album. "We're really pushing the envelope and trying to let our sound come through on these records" says Josh. Look for these hot records in the Spring of '10

While Auto-Tune has taken the front seat to many audio editing software packages, there is so much to gain by tapping into other great resources. The best example is MELODYNE!!! DO WE USE IT??? We just want to give honor to where its due. What better way to do it than through fashion, expression, and swag. Right before his tragic death, news came out that DJ AM had been working with Nike on a Dunk sneaker collection. Today we can show you some detailed images of one of them. The Nike Dunk High Premium Quickstrike “DJ AM” comes in a black/red colorway with reflective 3M accents. The red comes in regular premium leather and the black comes in patent leather.

WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!! ITS 2010 PEOPLE !!! We like to call it , THE YEAR OF THE NEWBIES!!! YES NEWBIES !!! Due to the growing talent pool of new artists, producers, and entrepreneurs, there lies more and more undeniable products that this music industry cannot refuse. More edge,more creativity, more innovation and drive !!! I definitely think this year will be our breakout year. With all the attention, new relationships, and progress that we’ve made in 2009, THERE'S NOTHING STOPPING DJMG!!! We would just like to encourage all of you to strive for perfection in this new year. Do things you have never done before,talk to people you never thought would listen, knock down some doors,jump from higher heights; MAKE YOU'RE SELF KNOWN AND YOUR PRESENCE FELT. KEEP GRINDING !!! We have to motivate one another and keep each other up. Building one another up is the best thing that we as fellow producers, singers, songwriters can do . There are generally three things that keeps us at Dre and Josh Music Group motivated and at our best.


PASSION: There has to be an innate desire for what you love; in our case music. There are so many people who do what they have to do rather than what they love to do. When you have a passion for music; wether it be writing, singing, playing an instrument, production etc; you will act with a sense of urgency and stop at nothing to reach the goals you’ve set for yourself.


FOCUS: There are always difficulties and set backs that lie in your way when youre striving for success. That’s why success feels so good. Its something we have to work hard for. In order to overcome all that is in our way, we have to be focused and determined to break through the doors that are seemingly closed . Also, on the other hand, we have to be focused on the gameplan. Your gameplan (a prepared business model, a great support system, a day to day plan of action ect.) should be the backbone of your operation. By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.


TEAM:A great team is almost imperative for success in the entertainment industry, especially when trying to stay motivated. Working harder and not smarter is a great principal to follow when trying to tackle the administrative duties that go along with the creative end of things. As aforementioned, building one another up is a constant neccessity in this “dog eat dog” business. Also taking care of business is vital to a great career in music. A team of compitent, knowledgeable people on your team can add so much needed value to your situation.

    "I met Dre & Josh thru "Myspace." I was in search of
    production and came across their profile. I reached out to
    them & they got back to me."

    "We've worked on alot of great music!!! We started out just
    building a catalog, not too focused on any particular artist
    or genre. Today we continue to do the same."

    4. How long have you known Dre and Josh ?

    "I have known Dre & Josh for about a year now. But our
    chemistry would have you thinking we've known each
    other forever! "

    5. What was your first impression of Dre and Josh ?

    "My first impression of Dre & Josh was that they were very
    motivated. They wanted to work and so did I. We fit
    perfectly!"

    6. How well do you work together ?

    "We work very well together! We listen to each other, we
    trust each other, we're a family. Our relationship is beyond
    music. Dre & Josh are great people, not just great
    producers."

    7. Would you categorize them as beatmakers or
    producers ?

    "Dre & Josh are definitely PRODUCERS!!! They go beyond
    just making the beats. They write, arrange, sing, engineer!
    They are truly the full package."

    "A year from now I see Dre & Josh very established in the
    music industry."

    9. How would you describe their sound ?

    "I would describe Dre & Josh's sound as very unique. Their
    music doesn't fit in, it stands out."

    "Dre & Josh's drive & determination makes DJMusic
